Virtual IT trainers need to maintain attention, demonstrate technology clearly, encourage participation and manage the challenges of training virtually. 


AVIT focuses specifically on the practical skills needed to design, deliver and manage engaging virtual IT training.

Greet & Gather (30 minutes)

 Meet your facilitator and fellow participants, understand the programme objectives and explore the accreditation requirements. 

Foundations of Virtual IT Training (3 hours)

Explore the foundations of effective virtual IT training, including:

Online presence · learner engagement · session planning · course structure · interactive learning materials · effective IT demonstrations

Advanced Strategies for Virtual IT Training (3 hours)

Advanced Strategies for Virtual IT Training (3 hours)

Develop your delivery further, including:

Facilitating discussion · active participation · hands-on learning · maintaining learner focus · remote learner support · managing disruption · webinars

Who is AVIT for?

AVIT is designed for people who deliver IT training virtually, whether as a dedicated trainer or as part of a wider role. It is suitable for both experienced trainers moving into virtual delivery and those developing their online training skills. 

Assessment & Accreditation

AVIT combines live training with practical assessment. To achieve the accreditation, participants complete the required assessment following the live programme.

 Attend the three live online sessions. Please note the live sessions are not recorded.

Complete the assessment

Complete an assessment questionnaire and submit the required materials for a short virtual IT training session. 

Achieve your accreditation

Successful participants receive the Accredited Virtual IT Trainer certificate and digital badge, together with recognition of 6.5 CPD hours.
